Profiles of Paris terror suspects

Little is known about the eight people believed to be at the centre of the terror attacks in Paris.

PROFILES OF TERROR SUSPECTS IN PARIS ATTACKS:

* ABDELHAMID ABAAOUD, 27, Belgian national, identified as presumed mastermind of Paris attacks

- Islamic State jihadi linked to thwarted attack on high-speed train in August and attack on church in Paris area

- Grew up in Brussels suburb of Molenbeeks

- Said to have recruited 13-year-old brother to join him in Syria

- Last year video shows him and friends loading a pick-up truck and a trailer with a pile of bloody bodies

- Paris prosecutor confirmed Abaaoud was killed in the operation

* HASNA AITBOULAHCEN, 26, reportedly cousin of Abaaoud

- Dubbed "The Female Kamikaze" by French media, Europe's first female suicide bomber

- Former construction worker reportedly born in the northern Paris suburb of Clichy-la-Garenne to Moroccan parents, troubled upbringing

- Friends claim she socialised in Paris nightclubs and was known for favouring cowboy hats

- Radicalised earlier this year, abandoned Western dress for niqab and made a number of posts of Facebook with an extremist tone

- Made abortive attempt to travel to Syria, it is claimed

* SALAH ABDESLAM, 26, international manhunt continues for him

- Rented car used to carry gunmen to Bataclan music venue in Paris

- Frenchman born in Brussels

* BRAHIM ABDESLAM, 31, Salah's elder brother

- Blew himself up on Boulevard Voltaire

- Another brother, Mohamed Abdeslam, released without charge

* SAMY AMIMOUR, 28, blew himself up at Bataclan music hall

- Frenchman, known to French intelligence services but apparently slipped through security net

- Charged with terror offences in 2012 over attempted trip to Yemen and terror network links, but disappeared following year

- Thought to have joined up with IS in Syria, international arrest warrant issued for him

- Lived at home and had briefly worked as a bus driver

- His father Mohamed told France's Le Monde newspaper he had travelled to land held by IS last year to try to persuade his son to leave Syria but failed

- Three members of Amimour's family were arrested on Monday

* AHMAD AL MOHAMMAD, 25, name found on passport found near suicide bomber outside Stade de France

- Describes him as born in Idlib, Syria

- Fingerprints from attacker match those of person who travelled through Greece last month

- Unclear whether passport belongs to attacker

* OMAR ISMAEL MOSTEFAI, 29, previously flagged for links to Islamic radicalism, identified through remains found at Bataclan music hall

- Claim Turkish authorities identified him as a possible terror suspect in October last year, flagged again December and again in June this year

- Lived with his family in the French city of Chartres

- French police believe he travelled to Syria in the past few years before he was placed under increased surveillance

* BILAL HADFI, another suicide bomber, thought to be 20, one of three who attacked the Stade de France

- Said to have fought with IS in Syria

* MOHAMMED AMRI, 27, and HAMZA ATTOU, 21, named as alleged getaway drivers.
