South Africa's cricketers travel to Perth on Saturday carrying belief they have had a perfect lead-in to the Test series against Australia.
The Proteas played a pair of two-day matches in Adelaide in the past week, with most of their batsmen scoring runs and bowlers taking wickets.
The tourists completed their tour games on Friday while resting pace duo Dale Steyn and Kagiso Rabada against a South Australian XI.
Fast bowlers Morne Morkel, Vernon Philander and Kyle Abbott all performed with little success - just three wickets between them - as the second-string South Australians posted 8-435 in reply to South Africa's 489 all out.
But the pace bowling trio all appeared to be keeping much in reserve for the first Test against Australia starting on Thursday, leaving most of the work to left-arm spinner Keshav Maharaj, who claimed 3-59 from 17.2 overs.
Maharaj, who is long odds to make his Test debut in Perth, says the two warm-up matches were extremely beneficial for the tourists.
"It has been a relatively good week. It's nice to carry some momentum into the matches that are going to follow," he said.
"The batters are looking in good shape and the bowlers are also looking good."
The Proteas fly to Perth mid-afternoon with some pundits rating them favourites to defeat Steve Smith's Australians in the three-Test series.
"We are not to worried about being favourites according to the media, we are just going to go there and execute our skills as best we can and take it from there," the 26-year-old said.
"Obviously we are looking forward to an exciting and tough series."
