Protesters barricade Vic Lib headquarters

Activists have barricaded the front doors of Victoria's Liberal headquarters in Melbourne to protest over the asylum seekers on Manus Island.

Twenty protesters have used garbage to barricade the front doors of the Victorian Liberal party's headquarters to protest over the treatment of asylum seekers on Manus Island.

The building in Melbourne's CBD has been spray painted with 'SOS Manus' and the large pile of rubbish, including old office furniture and wooden pallets, has been stacked up the front steps.

The protesters, sitting on the footpath in front chanting "if you don't evacuate we'll create a barricade", are surrounded by a circle of more than a dozen police.
