Sydneysiders will have the chance to see what lies beneath the sails of one of the city's most iconic landmarks when the Sydney Opera House opens its doors to the public.

Visitors will be able to walk through areas that are usually off limits between 10am and 4pm on Sunday.

Live performances by the Moorambilla Voices choir will make up part of the entertainment, while technical displays that demonstrate how shows are brought to life through lighting, sound and prop manipulation will also feature.
