Pulse shooter goes down with knee injury

Former Silver Fern Jodi Brown's trans-Tasman netball warm-up has been cut short by a knee injury at the Sydney Pre-Season Shoot-out.

Former New Zealand netball international Jodi Brown's trans-Tasman netball league season is in doubt after the evergreen Central Pulse shooter injured her knee playing in a pre-season warm-up tournament in Sydney.

The 34-year-old was injured in the Pulse's first match on Saturday, a 37-15 win over the Tactix.

She left the court in the second half, and played no further part in the following matches.

Brown returns to New Zealand with the team on Monday where she will undergo further assessment.

Pre-Season Shoot-out tournaments are being held this weekend in Sydney and Auckland, with matches ranging between 20, 30 and 60 minutes.
