Argentina flyhalf Nicolas Sanchez is free to face England in their rugby Test at Twickenham on Saturday after a disciplinary committee judged that he should not be punished for striking an opponent last weekend.

Sanchez was cited for the offence that he committed in the 19-16 loss to Scotland on Saturday.

The committee concluded Tuesday that it was an act of foul play but did not warrant a red card because Sanchez was attempting to "free himself from the illegal grasp of an opponent."

Sanchez will be a key member of the Pumas lineup looking to bounce back from consecutive defeats to Wales and Scotland on their end-of-year tour of the northern hemisphere.
