Despite once threatening to quit Labor over its contentious lockout laws, Cairns MP Rob Pyne says he'll now back the changes on moral grounds.
Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk, who is spending Monday afternoon holding last-minute crisis talks with crossbench MPs to get the legislation over the line in parliament this week, at least knows Mr Pyne's support is secured.
"At the end of the day, I don't know if I could look in the mirror next time some young person is not going to make it home because they have been assaulted at 4am in the morning by someone who is drunk and violent," Mr Pyne said. "In the end it does come back to morality."
