Qantas unveils navy nautical pilot uniform

In a nod to the classic pilot uniforms of the 1930s, Qantas has revealed a sleek new navy pilot uniform.

Qantas has unveiled new uniforms for their pilots designed by France-based Australian Martin Grant.

The single-breasted navy suit with gold trim around the sleeves gives a nautical nod to the first Qantas pilot uniforms from the 1930s. It's the first new pilot uniform in 13 years.

"Pilots have one of the most respected professions in the world. I decided it was very important to keep the classic base of the military and naval styles as it maintains and commands this respect," Grant said.
