QBE appoints new US CEO

QBE insurance group has announced a new boss of its North American operations to replace retiring David Duclos.

Insurer QBE has appointed Russell Johnston as its new chief executive of the group's North American operations.

Mr Johnston replaces David Duclos who is retiring.

A statement from QBE said Mr Johnston had more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry in North America and has held a range of senior roles at the American International Group since 1990.
