Qld boy, 4, dies after being hit by van

A four-year-old boy has died in hospital, days after being struck by a van in southwest Queensland.

A four-year-old Queensland boy has died in hospital after running into the path of a van in the state's southwest on the weekend.

Police say the boy was struck on Drayton Street at Dalby around 6:50pm on Sunday after running onto the road.

He was airlifted to Brisbane's Lady Cilento Hospital, where he died on Thursday afternoon.

Police are investigating the crash.
