Qld cop accused of assaulting 14yo girl

A Townsville police constable will appear in court next month over the alleged 2015 assault of a 14-year-old girl.

A Townsville police officer will face court accused of assaulting a 14-year-old girl.

Queensland's crime and corruption watchdog has issued the 45-year-old constable with a notice to appear over the common assault charge, which is alleged to have occurred last year.

The officer will front the Townsville Magistrates Court on April 21.
