The Queensland government has extended its offer of emergency financial assistance to more people affected by an east coast low that devastated parts of Brisbane.
A number of streets at Slacks Creek, Loganlea, Marsden, Deagon, Clayfield, Burpengary, Caboolture, Morayfield and Deception Bay have been added to the areas eligible for personal hardship assistance.
There are now more than 30 suburbs on the list.
Those who live in eligible areas can access financial assistance of $180 per person and up to $900 for a family.
Homes were flooded and five people died when trying to cross flooded roads during the dangerous May 1 storm, which dumped more than 300mm of rain in some areas in 24 hours.
Insurance claims from the disaster have already topped $26 million.
