Qld govt to post IT projects on new site

Details of major IT projects to be published on a website as part of Queensland's response to an inquiry into the costly health payroll bungle.

All major Queensland government technology projects will be listed on a public website.

IT Minister Ian Walker says the site will contain the projects' timeframes, investment objectives and costs.

It's part of the government's response to an inquiry into the $1.2 billion Queensland Health payroll bungle.

Mr Walker says the site will offer a new level of accountability.

"It drills down to the particulars, and clearly defines initiatives and their issues, and the actions needed to resolve those issues - giving clear timelines and identifying owners for each action," Mr Walker said.

The website is: www.qld.gov.au/dsitia/media/ict-dashboard-reports-on-ict-projects/
