Queensland's health minister appears to have fallen victim to an online dieting virus.

Cameron Dick's verified Twitter account disseminated a mention to followers early on Sunday citing a link to a "simple, fast way to slim down".

The apparent hacking comes after Australian Bureau of Statistics research found half of the country's 10 fattest regions were in Queensland.
