A Queensland father will spend at least 18 months behind bars for the manslaughter of his son and two of his friends after a home-brew tragedy in 2013.
William Neil Clarence Lynam, 71, was sentenced to a maximum of six years in prison in the Toowoomba Supreme Court on Wednesday, a day after a jury found him guilty of three counts of manslaughter and one charge of grievous bodily harm.
He had pleaded not guilty but the jury found he accidentally poisoned his 21-year-old son, Joel, along with Vincent Summers, 21, and Bryan Wilmot, 30, when he supplied them with a toxic home brew.
