Queensland selectors have courted controversy by retaining AFL convert Israel Folau in their team to play the second State of Origin rugby league match against NSW next week.
In the only change from the Queensland side that won Origin I last month, Bulldogs prop Ben Hannant comes in for the injured Petero Civoniceva.
An impassioned plea from Folau's teammates and coach Mal Meninga appear to have swayed the Queensland hierarchy which has backflipped, having previously threatened to drop Folau after he announced his deal to join the AFL's Greater Western Sydney franchise from next year.

Folau will now line up with Queensland against the Blues in Brisbane next Wednesday night as they look to clinch a fifth staright series victory.
