A Queensland man arrested over the rape of a teenage girl in Geelong has been extradited to Melbourne and charged with rape and abduction.

A Queensland man is now the third person to be charged over the alleged gang rape of a 14-year-old girl in Geelong last week.

The 20-year-old Pimpama man was extradited from Queensland, where he was arrested and later interviewed by Victorian sexual crimes squad detectives over the incident.

A Victoria Police spokeswoman said the man touched down in Melbourne with detectives on Sunday afternoon and was charged with one count each of rape and abduction.

He has been remanded in custody to appear in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Monday.

Two Melburnians, brothers Allan Mark Wild, 29, and Kevin Andrew Wild, 28, have each been charged with one count of rape and abduction over the November 1 attack.

They have been remanded to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates Court on November 13.

A fourth suspect, a 31-year-old man from Harrisdale in Western Australia, was also interviewed by the sexual crimes squad but released without charge.

Police say the girl and her 16-year-old male friend were set upon by a group of men before the girl was raped near a park, and then taken to a house where the sexual assault continued.

Her friend tried to prevent the attack, but was assaulted.
