A man has died in hospital from injuries sustained when he fled his burning house in Queensland's Lockyer Valley.

The 70-year-old's property on Main Green Swamp Road in Churchable was completely destroyed in the fire late on Friday night.

He was flown in a critical condition to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital where he died on Saturday, a Queensland police spokesman said.

A woman who was also in the house at the time was uninjured.

Police are investigating the cause of the fire, which is not believed to be suspicious.
