Qld man nabbed over scissors attack on cop

A man accused of attempting to kill a police officer with a pair of scissors remains behind bars.

A Brisbane man accused of trying to kill a police officer with a pair of scissors has appeared in court.

Richard Zoltan Babos, 29, was arrested after neighbours complained of being terrorised on Sunday.

He was charged with attempted murder charge after allegedly stabbing an officer in the neck at an Inala shopping centre.

A second officer tasered him, but he is alleged to have fled which sparked a major manhunt.

Police arrested Babos after residents of a nearby house called triple zero to say a man armed with a shovel had threatened them while trying to steal a car.
