A man has been accused of ramming a police car with his ute and spitting in the face of an officer in Queensland's northwest.
Police allege the 39-year-old was spotted driving without plates around the Doomadgee community at 4.13pm (AEST) on Friday.
When officers tried to intercept the ute, he allegedly sped off.
Police say they didn't give chase but saw the ute being driven erratically through parkland about 15 minutes later.
The man allegedly drove straight at their police car.

The officers took evasive action but say the man rammed their vehicle, then tried to hit their car a second time before coming to a stop.
While being arrested, the 39-year-old allegedly spat twice in the face of one officer.
The Mornington man has been charged with serious assault police, fail to stop motor vehicle, fail to comply with duties of a driver involved in a crash, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle whilst adversely affected and two counts each of drive whilst disqualified, drive uninsured vehicle and drive unregistered vehicle.
He is due to face the Mount Isa Magistrates Court on Saturday.
