A Queensland mother has made an emotional plea for help to find her teenage daughter who has been missing for nearly two months.

Holding back tears, Kathleen Peacock urged her 15-year-old daughter Emmadilla Peacock-Lewis to come home and for anyone with information about her whereabouts to come forward.

"I love you sweetheart and I'd like to see you come home," she said at Brisbane police headquarters on Tuesday.

Emmadilla was last seen leaving her father's Toowoomba property on September 28 and it's believed she may have travelled interstate, possibly to Tasmania, with 42-year-old Justin Bradburn.

Mr Bradburn is from Tasmania and was reported missing by family on October 31.

Detective Inspector Dave Isherwood said the man had been in Queensland for a few months and had met Emmadilla through one of her friends.

Investigators have been tracking Emmadilla's phone, bank account and social media accounts but that has failed to shed any light on her whereabouts.

Det Insp Isherwood said it was fair to assume the pair was avoiding detection, and concerns were held for Emmadilla's wellbeing.

But at this stage her disappearance is being treated as nothing more than a missing person's case.

"The fact that she is a 15-year-old and has not been spoken to by any member of her family or contacted any other persons is of grave concern for us," he said.

Ms Peacock is desperate for news of her daughter.

"We hold our children's hands for a while but we hold their hearts forever," she said.

"Anybody out there that may possibly see my daughter please can you come forward."

Det Insp Isherwood stressed that Emmadilla wasn't in trouble with authorities.

"We would like a happy conclusion for her and the rest of the family," he said.

Emmadilla is 165cm tall and of fair complexion ,with brown to auburn hair and hazel eyes. Mr Bradburn is 175-180cm tall and has a fair complexion, light brown hair and is clean shaven.
