Qld one-punch victim dies, attacker sought

Police have yet to locate a jogger they wish to speak with following a random altercation on a Brisbane street which has left one man dead.

A man who was allegedly the victim of a one-punch attack on a Brisbane street has died.

A Princess Alexandra Hospital spokesman confirmed the 48-year-old's death on Monday afternoon.

The man had been on life support since Saturday after being punched by another man following an "exchange of words" on a South Brisbane street.

Police have released CCTV footage of the man they want to speak with which was captured as he walked past the Fox Hotel.

They have appealed for witnesses to the incident that took place around 10.15am in Melbourne St.

The jogger is described as about 170cm tall, with short dark hair and shirtless, but wearing black running shorts with a red top tucked in to the waistband.
