Queensland's most powerful CFMEU-affiliated politician has distanced herself from the branch of her union that's under pressure at the royal commission.
Two leaders of the union's construction division, CFMEU national vice president Michael Ravbar and his former second-in-command Dave Hanna, have been questioned about alleged impropriety at the trade unions royal commission this week.
But Queensland Police Minister Jo-Ann Miller, a proud CMFEU member, has indicated she isn't linked with the CFMEU's construction division.
"I'm a member of the CFMEU mining and energy division and the royal commission obviously has to run it's course," she said.
However, Ms Miller stopped short of saying she was "outraged" by the revelations about the CFMEU at the inquiry, unlike Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk and Health Minister Cameron Dick.
"The people of Queensland are concerned about the allegations that have been raised, however the royal commission, like every other royal commission, must run it's course ... I think we'll all await the outcome," she said.
