Motorists with dashboard cameras are being urged to help police solve the suspected murder of Logan schoolgirl Tiahleigh Palmer.

Police have continued to appeal for public assistance, especially from motorists with dash-cams who travelled along Chambers Flat Road and Muchow Road, near Marsden High School on the morning of October 30.

State Emergency Service volunteers searched the area around Marsden High on Wednesday morning as the hunt for answers into how the 12-year-old girl died continues.

The search didn't provide any new information, with Tiahleigh's backpack and school uniform still missing.

Tiahleigh went missing sometime after being dropped off at the school on October 30.

Her body was found six days later on the banks of the Pimpama River on the northern end of the Gold Coast.

Motorists with dash-cams who travelled along Kerkin Road North in Pimpama, near where Tiahleigh's body was found, at any time between October 30 and November 5 are also being asked to contact police.

Queensland Police Minister Jo-Ann Miller said public assistance would prove vital in determining how and when Tiahleigh went missing and how she died.

"It's obvious that someone knows something," Ms Miller said.

"A little girl, 12 years old, just doesn't go missing without someone knowing about it.

"The police cannot solve this by themselves and that's why we need anybody at all who has any information to contact Crime Stoppers."

More than 60 detectives have been assigned to the case.

More police searches at both the high school and along the Pimpama River are being proposed over coming days.

Tiahleigh's funeral has been arranged for Saturday at Mount Cotton.
