Police are preparing a report for the coroner and have suspended the search for a missing scuba diver off a north Queensland beach.

Steven "Fozzy" Foster, 54, went missing while diving with three others at the Lady Bowen wreck, off Mission Beach, on Tuesday.

Dive equipment and clothing believed to belong to Mr Foster was located on Friday and police have now suspended the search and will forensically examine the items before preparing a report for the coroner.
