Queensland have a spot in next month's Sheffield Shield final in their sights after jumping to second on the ladder with a comprehensive seven-wicket win over bottom-placed Tasmania in Brisbane.
The Bulls reached 3-158 to earn victory early in the final session on Wednesday's last day's play of the day/night match at the Gabba.
Charlie Hemphrey led the way for the home side, hitting a free-flowing 79 not out, helping put on 118 for the second wicket with young opener Matt Renshaw who continued his fine recent form with a more sedate 49.
Tasmania earlier resumed day four in dire trouble at 7-179 - a lead of just 103.
There was, however, some brief resistance from the tail, before the Tigers were eventually cleaned up for 233.
Rookie pair Mitch Swepson (2-51) and Jack Wildermuth (3-31) took two of the three Tasmanian wickets to fall on day four to continue the Bulls' recent strong form.
However, it was veteran allrounder James Hopes who claimed the key wicket of Tom Triffitt, with the wicketkeeper top-scoring for Tasmania with 59.
Queensland were languishing in fifth place just a fortnight ago, but two hefty wins in succession have lifted them into second with three rounds remaining.
