Bulls skipper Chris Hartley says Queensland are in the box seat to claim an outright win after ball dominated bat on day two of their top-of-the-table Sheffield Shield clash with Victoria.
At stumps at the Gabba on Sunday, the Bulls were 9-174 in their second innings, meaning Victoria will need to chase at least 217 for victory.
Hartley (45 not out) added valuable runs late in the day, combining with tailender Mark Swepson (25) for a 57-run eighth wicket partnership.
"I'm pleased in the fact that they're going to have to score the biggest total of the game in the last innings," Hartley said.
"If you look at it that way, you'd say were definitely in front but it's still going to be a very tough day."

A total of 18 wickets tumbled on day two, with the two relatively inexperienced batting line-ups struggling to come to terms with a pitch offering some movement.
Resuming at 1-27, the Bushrangers were skittled for 147 shortly after lunch with young all-rounder Jack Wildermuth the chief destroyer.
He claimed career-best figures of 4-27 and was ably supported by former Test seamer Peter George (3-39).
Australian one day quick Scott Boland top scored for Victoria with 33, following his 4-44 with the ball on a rain-interrupted Saturday.
Boland backed it up with two wickets in Queensland's second innings, but Chris Tremain (3-30) got the early inroads, trapping Test opener Joe Burns (5) lbw, his second single digit score of the match.
On Sunday, Queensland were bowled out for 190 in their first innings.
A win to second-placed Queensland would put them one point behind the Bushrangers going into their final round clash against Western Australia on March 15.
Victoria can lock up top spot and a finals berth with outright victory.
