A two-year-old girl is in a critical condition after falling from a second-storey window in a Brisbane unit.

It is believed the toddler crawled onto a lounge chair and pushed through a fly screen at a unit at Coorparoo on Thursday, before falling five metres onto a concrete driveway.

She is in a critical but stable condition with serious head injuries, a spokesman from Lady Cilento Children's Hospital said on Friday morning.
