Queensland's trade and investment office in Jakarta will close following a deadly terror attack on the city.
Acting Premier Jackie Trad announced on Friday the government had temporarily shut the office, which is about 4km from where the Islamic State-claimed suicide bombing and gunfight occurred in the Indonesian capital.
"Out of an abundance of caution we have closed the office today and asked staff to work from home," she said.
"Obviously an attack like this creates a huge degree of anxiety.
"So we feel it best that there are no deliveries to the office today, and that there aren't staff present so that they can be at home with their families."
At least seven people, including five attackers, were killed and dozens injured in Thursday's terror attack.
The suicide bombing and gunfight took place on Jl Thamrin, between a Starbucks coffee shop and a police post in the middle of a busy intersection.
Ms Trad said the Queensland government stood in solidarity with Indonesia against acts of terrorism, and extended sympathies to the country.
The former LNP government opened the trade and investment office in late 2014 to strengthen Queensland's relationship with Indonesia, and grow local export and investment opportunities across the region.
