A Brisbane Uber driver is recovering after he was allegedly attacked by a machete-wielding teenage woman.
The 17-year-old got into the driver's car at a Zillmere address early Thursday morning, police say.
When the driver realised the teen wasn't his fare, she allegedly pulled out a machete and tried to steal the car.
The 37-year-old driver was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital with a cut to the head.
Police said the wound was serious but not life threatening.

The woman is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court later on Thursday charged with attempted robbery with violence and assault occasioning bodily harm.
