Qld unemployment rate falls slightly

Queensland's unemployment rate has fallen slightly in September but is still above the national figure.

Queensland's unemployment rate has fallen from 6.2 per cent in August to six per cent in September.

The latest Australian Bureau of Statistics figures, released on Thursday, show Queensland's unemployment rate was still higher than the national rate of 5.6 per cent in September, seasonally adjusted.

"The latest figures are more good news for the Queensland economy and further hard data showing our economic plan is working," Treasurer Curtis Pitt said.
