Police in two states will have to wait their turn to question Gino and Mark Stocco over property and other offences allegedly committed by the pair.

The father and son are currently facing 17 charges each in NSW after they were arrested by heavily-armed police on a rural property near Dubbo on Wednesday.

Gino Stocco, 57, and his son Mark, 36, are accused of murdering the property's caretaker Rosario Cimone on October 7 and shooting at three NSW police officers near Wagga Wagga on October 16.

Police in Queensland and Victoria must wait for the outcome of those charges before they can pursue the duo for questioning.

The pair are wanted in Queensland over more than a dozen property offences committed between 2011 and 2014.

Officers also want to speak to them in relation to a number of other matters, though details of those allegations were unavailable on Friday.

"They'll have to face those charges in NSW first and then we'll deal with them," a Queensland Police spokesman told AAP.

Officers in Victoria will also have to wait until the NSW court process is complete and possibly until the pair have been questioned in Queensland, before being able to speak to them.
