Quake brings Haiti to its knees

An already impoverished earthquake was hit by a devastating 7.0 magnitude earthquake at the start of the year - and its people still struggle.

The quake killed 220,000 people, left 1.3 million people homeless and destroyed countless buildings

Already an impoverished nation, a fact many attribute to woeful treatment by bodies from former colonial power France to the IMF, the earthquake has hit Haiti hard.

Now, the country is dealing with a cholera epidemic and a disputed election result.
