Quake strikes off Papua New Guinea

A 6.3 magnitude has struck off the coast of Papua New Guinea, but there is no threat of a tsunami.

An earthquake of 6.3 magnitude has struck off Papua New Guinea on Saturday, but there has been no immediate reports of casualties or damage.

The US Geological Survey says there was no tsunami warning from the quake that struck about 120 km (75 miles) south of Bougainville island.
