Queensland police have cleared the head of the state's crime watchdog of allegations that he misled the state's parliament.

Police have been investigating Acting Crime and Corruption Commission (CCC) chair Dr Ken Levy for allegedly misleading a parliamentary committee over contact he had had with the Newman government before penning an opinion piece in support of contentious anti-bikie laws.

However, police have found that Dr Levy has no criminal case to answer to, effectively clearly him of any wrongdoing.

Dr Levy said, in a statement, he was relieved at the decision but added that "the matter is being considered by the parliamentary ethics committee ... On that basis, I am declining to make any further comment at this time".
