Safety experts are calling on parents to ensure batteries are kept away from young children.
The calls come after a four year old girl died after swallowing a lithium battery on Queensland's Sunshine Coast.
The girl suffered stomach bleeding and was taken to hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
