Queensland hospital beds in the pipeline

The Queensland health minister says hundreds of hospital beds are in the pipeline after doctors spoke out against ambulance ramping.

Queensland's health minister Steven Miles has assured people that hundreds of hospital beds are in the pipeline.

The problem of "ramping" ambulances outside hospitals while patients waited for a bed in packed emergency wards was highlighted again on Wednesday when a doctor warned it was harming some patients.

Mr Miles said the state government was focused on spending hundreds of millions of local hospitals, which includes 192 new beds at the Logan hospital expansion - due to be completed next year.
