Queenslanders have been warned to be wary of fallen trees and power lines as severe thunderstorms pummel the sunshine state.
The storm cell passed the southeast coast on Saturday night but residents in Calliope, Bundaberg, Gladstone, Fraser Island and Hervey Bay have been urged to remain on high alert.
Damaging winds and heavy rainfalls that could trigger flash floods continued to threaten the handful of areas well into the night.
Moderate flood warnings are in place for Wallam Creek and the Maranoa River, with minor warnings for Eyre Creek and the Upper Dawson and Upper Barcoo rivers.
"Remember: if it's flooded, forget it," the Bureau of Meteorology warned.
Palen Creek, about 100km southwest of Brisbane, recorded 68mm rainfall in just one hour on Saturday afternoon while Pomona in Noosa received a 48mm bucketing.
Cedar Vale, southwest of Gladstone, copped a whopping 47mm in 30 minutes while Mount Wolvi in southeast Queensland recorded 71mm in an hour.
More heavy rains and powerful winds are expected to hit the state on Sunday and Monday, a BoM spokesman told AAP.
