A Queensland mother who fell off a pedestrian bridge after a day at the Cairns Cup Races has died.
Claire Tucker, 36, was critically injured and, almost a week later, her life support was turned off on Friday.
The pain of losing Claire, who friends described as "generous" and "kind-hearted", is being felt around the Cairns community.
Claire's friend Dagmar Hirsh wrote on Facebook she had "been a source of inspiration and motivation".
"I wish you endless happiness and love where you are now," she wrote.

Another friend, Marita McCourt last week described Claire in a Facebook post as the type of person who "would move mountains for others".
Claire was an active part of her community and a spokeswoman for her netball club wrote on Facebook they "are so lost for words".
"Rest in peace Claire... forever in our hearts and never forgotten," said the post on the Scorchers Netball Club Cairns page.
A GoFundMe page to help Claire's 5-year-old son Zephyr has raised more than $45,000.
