Queensland independent MP Billy Gordon has reportedly defended himself against a claim he misled parliament over taxation and child support matters.
The Sunday Mail claims to have sighted documents alleging Mr Gordon owes more than $16,000 to the Child Support Agency (CSA) and has also been under-reporting his taxable income.
The report adds speaker Peter Wellington has ordered an investigation into the allegations amid fears Mr Gordon misled or was in contempt of parliament.
Mr Gordon told parliament in March 2015 he had dealt with outstanding child support and tax issues.
That statement came days after he'd resigned from the Labor Party amid claims he'd been dishonest to Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk.

Mr Gordon has however denied the most recent allegations, stating the Sunday Mail story was inaccurate.
"I have an agreement with the Child Support Agency that regulates fortnightly payments to meet my child support obligations," he reportedly said in a statement to Fairfax Media.
"I continue to honour all agreements entered into since I explained these matters to parliament in March 2015, and I will willingly continue to do so.
"As I also told the House at the time, I moved immediately to rectify my taxation matters. This has been a long and complex process. I am satisfied with my progress."
Despite leaving the party, Mr Gordon remains crucial to the minority Labor government's attempt to pass bills.
Ms Palaszczuk was reportedly made aware of the latest allegations against Mr Gordon on Thursday during the final sitting week of the Queensland parliament.
