A man has been charged with murder after a woman was found dead at a home in Brisbane.
The 43-year-old, who Queensland Police Service said was known to the deceased, faces one count of domestic violence-related murder.
The woman, 45, was found at the home in Upper Mount Gravatt before 8pm on Monday and despite the "best efforts" of paramedics died soon after.
"It's not lost on me that this happened on the same day as the National Women's Safety Summit was commencing in Canberra," Detective Superintendent Tony Fleming said on Tuesday.
She's believed to have died of an unspecified wound to her lower body.
