Queensland Rail and embattled Transport minister Stirling Hinchliffe will be breathing a sigh of relief after there were no major problems with the train timetable on New Years Eve.
Queensland Rail, and subsequently the minister himself, have come under scrutiny since October's timetable meltdown caused by a staffing crisis.
The cancellation of 235 Christmas Day services left passengers sceptical and the state opposition convinced New Year's Eve celebrations would be tarnished by similar mishaps.
However everything went off without a hitch, except for a brief delay on the Ferny Grove line early in the night caused by a woman who had reportedly had too much to drink and lay down on the tracks.
She was removed by police, causing around 20 minutes delay.

Just after 11pm Mr Hinchliffe tweeted that all trains were running as planned.
"Briefings from @queenslandrail & @translink Early NYE services all running smoothly. All platforms cleared & services set for post midnight," he wrote.
The evening was make-or-break for Mr Hinchliffe, who was facing increasing pressure from the opposition over the ongoing rostering bungles.
Instead of focusing on a timetable, the New Years roster simply looked at moving as many people as possible.
There were 259 drivers rostered on for Saturday night, 120 of those called in from holidays and rostered days off to ensure there would be no driver shortages.
Meanwhile the Minister is calling on Queensland Rail to re-do a "comprehensive" report into the Christmas Day bungle, after he was handed a document just two pages long on Friday.
"I was very disappointed in the nature of the report," he said.
"It didn't cover specific things that I asked for."
QR staff will work through the weekend to shed more light on the issues, but Mr Hinchliffe said the report made clear the cancellations were due to a rostering problem.
Acting opposition leader Deb Frecklington said the brief report was embarrassing.
"Someone's having a lend of the Transport Minister, he is utterly hopeless. I mean, how humiliating," she said.
