A skydiver has escaped with his life after he crash-landed into a tree and fell about 10 metres to the ground at Kandanga Creek in Queensland's south east.

Emergency services were called around 12.30pm on Saturday after the 59-year-old "ended up in a tree" and fell through to the ground at Mitchell Creek Road, a Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said.

"He was conscious the whole time with no obvious external injuries. But they were querying internal injuries," a QAS spokeswoman told AAP.
The skydiver was airlifted to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital and paramedics also treated a woman at the scene who was hit by a branch.

"He was rather lucky, maybe unlucky, to have landed in the tree," the spokeswoman said.
