Daniel Worrall and his fellow South Australian paceman have dominated the opening day of their Sheffield Shield match against Tasmania in Hobart.
Worrall (4-42) and Joe Mennie (3-27) were the chief destroyers after the Redbacks sent the Tigers in on a green-tinged Bellerive Oval.
Matthew Wade (43) top scored for Tasmania as they were bowled out for 185 on the cusp of stumps.
South Australia openers Jake Weatherald and Conor McInerney successfully navigated two scoreless overs before the close of play.
Worrall dismissed both Tigers' openers in the morning session and capped the innings with the final wicket of tailender Gabe Bell.
His haul come after a career-best return of 7-64 on return from a five-month injury lay-off against Western Australia last match.
The Tigers were on even footing at 4-103 at tea but fell away in the final session.
Veteran George Bailey scored 28 after last week handing the captaincy to Wade to focus on fixing his ailing batting.
Tim Paine (16) edged Mennie to slip in his final hit-out before captaining Australia against India in the opening Test of the summer in Adelaide from December 6.
Returning from national limited-overs duty, Ben McDermott scrapped 18 batting at number three but was out shortly after lunch, trapped in front by Nick Winter (2-57).
Wade was confident his bowlers, lead by former Test quick Jackson Bird, could return fire on day two.
"It was certainly a grind all day. They bowled reasonably well and if we can do so tomorrow we'll get rewards on that track," he said.
"We're well and truly in the game."
Kane Richardson picked up one wicket, with Tasmania's run rate falling below two-an-over for periods of the day.
