A university student being sued over an allegedly racist Facebook post has called for an inquiry into the Australian Human Rights Commission after it failed to notify him of a complaint against him for 14 months.
Former Queensland University of Technology student Alex Wood has complained to the AHRC, echoing a similar move by two other students, claiming it breached his human rights because he is a heterosexual, white, Catholic male.
He has sought an apology from AHRC president Gillian Triggs and asked for an inquiry to be set up into the culture of the commission.
