Radley charged for late shot against Storm

Victor Radley will miss the Sydney Roosters' NRL clash with Gold Coast unless he beats a dangerous contact charge for a late shot.

Sydney Roosters forward Victor Radley faces a week on the sideline for the late high shot that saw him sin-binned in his team's NRL loss to Melbourne.

Radley has been hit with a grade-one dangerous contact charge for the high and late shot on the Storm's Christian Welch in the second half at Adelaide Oval on Friday night.

Ordinarily, Radley could have escaped without a ban but carryover points and weighting from a previous charge means he'll miss the round 18 game with the Gold Coast even with an early guilty plea.

The 20-year-old has been among the Roosters' best this year coming off the bench and was recently rewarded with a contract extension until the end off 2023.
