Australian Test winger Semi Radradra will reportedly play one more game in the NRL before leaving for French rugby union.

Radradra's elder sister, Vaseva Waqavatu, has told the Fiji Times that the Parramatta winger would return for the Eels' next game against Cronulla in round 17 before signing a nine-month contract in France.

"Semi had discussed his move with my parents and we are supporting him 100 per cent," Waqavatu said.

A spokesman for Parramatta declined to comment on the Fiji Times article when contacted by AAP.

The Eels still expect Radradra to return to Sydney on Sunday after he was granted permission by the club to return to Fiji to visit his family.

However he has been linked to French Top 14 club Bordeaux in recent times.

Radradra, who has scored 58 tries in 63 NRL matches, is contracted until the end of next season at the Eels and the club said on Saturday they had been given no indication that it will not be honoured.

NSW coach Laurie Daley said on Tuesday that Radradra's departure would be a loss to the game.

"He's captured everyone's imagination and it would be disappointing for rugby league that he would go to rugby union," Daley said.

"Hopefully he will stay in rugby league because he is a crowd please and he's a guy that certainly brings people along to the game."
