Radwanska into Tianjin tennis quarters

Titleholder Agnieszka Radwanska and Olympic gold medallist Monica Puig have won through to the quarter-finals of the Tianjin Open in China.

Defending champion Agnieszka Radwanska has cruised into the quarter-finals of the Tianjin Open with a 6-1 6-1 win over Evgeniya Rodina

The top-seeded Radwanska broke her opponent five times on Thursday and won all but four points on her first serve. She has won her past eight matches, starting with her run last week to the China Open title.

Radwanska next plays Chinese veteran Peng Shuai, a former US Open semi-finalist, who beat Chang Kai-Chen 6-3 6-2.

Olympic gold medallist Monica Puig also reached the quarters with a 6-4 6-2 win over Lara Arruabarrena, and Alison Riske advanced with a 6-3 7-6 (7-2) victory over Magda Linette.
