Expected rain and potential flooding could continue the pain of some NSW farmers, who are already dealing with the results of heavy falls.
The Bureau of Meteorology says flash and renewed mild to moderate flooding could be experienced in the upper Macintyre, Macquarie, Bogan, Lachlan, Murrumbidgee and Tumut rivers from Wednesday as a cold front brings rain.
The rain, which is expected to fall mostly in the central-southern parts of the state on Wednesday, follows significant falls and flooding in NSW inland catchments over the past month.
Flood warnings are already in place for the Warrego, Paroo, Macintyre, Gwydir, Namoi, Bogan, Macquarie, Lachlan, Belubula, Murrumbidgee and Murray river valleys.
Farmer Jon Greer says 60 per cent of his grain and legume farm on the lower Gwydir is flood-affected.
He says even the small amount of rain forecast for his area over the coming days is not welcome, with the saturated ground making scheduled harvest in a few weeks time a daunting prospect.
He says he will suffer "millions" in damages, especially in his chickpea crop.
"The most vulnerable (to flood damage) would be the chickpeas and ... price-wise, they're at an all-time high," said Mr Greer, whose family has farmed west of Moree for 75 years.
"It's quite disappointing."
The cold front is expected to pass on Thursday.
The bureau says there is also a chance of moderate rainfall over the far northeast corner of the state.
An evacuation warning has been issued for 20 homes at Condobolin, an SES spokesman said.
