Rain postpones Open wildcard playoff

The women's quarter-finals in the Australian Open wildcard playoff will be held on Friday at Melbourne Park after heavy rain forced their postponement.

Heavy rain in Melbourne has forced the cancellation of the women's quarter-finals in the Australian Open wildcard playoff.

The women's matches have been rescheduled for Friday morning, starting at 10am, and will be followed by the men's semi-finals.

The finals will be played on Sunday with the winners earning wildcards into the main draw of the grand slam in January.
